Inspired by his years working in NYC, Marius Pop & Nuvrei are bringing the tradition of Jour Du Macaron to Portland. On March 20, Portland will pay homage to the traditions created in Paris and continued in NYC by celebrating the macaron and raising money for a local cause. Macaron Day will be held annually on March 20th, the first day of Spring.

Participating bakeries and patisseries will give a free macaron to customers who donate to Meals on Wheels People ($2 suggested minimum donation). This will be a fun event to indulge in Parisian macarons and support a Portland non-profit that provides 5,000 meals a day to seniors.

Some locations will be making special macarons for the event, and visiting all shops is encouraged! Nuvrei will give out commemorative tote bags to the first 100 customers on March 20th. Follow the fun with #MacaronDayPDX

Each customer is allowed 1 macaron per location (while supplies last). Participating businesses are not obligated to offer free macarons after their supply has run out or before or after Macaron Day. All participating businesses must be approved by Nuvrei.
